15 months

Hi! I am 15 months old today so my mommy asked me to tell you all how I've grown and changed lately. She asked me some questions and here are my answers:

Q: What are some of your favorite things to do?
A: My most favorite thing is when mommy and daddy read me stories. I also like to watch Sesame Street, go for walks outside, help mommy empty the dishwasher, bounce on the bed and sit around with a blanket over my head for an unusually long time.

Q: What are some of your special talents?
A: Oh there are so many. I'll have to start with animal noises. I really like to make them when somebody asks me to, and even when they don't. My favorites are ducks, horsies, owls, sheep, chickens, cows and doggies. I also am very good at making messes, running laps around the kitchen with a towel over my face, playing peekaboo, shaking my booty, and singing songs. Oh, and I have become very good at saying my name too (just my first name though--I think it will take a while for me to master Brocklehurst).

Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Yogurt. I love it and I would eat it all day long if mommy let me.

Q: If you could be any animal what would you be?
A: I like lots of animals but I would most likely want to be a duck because I really LOVE to say "quack, quack", especially when I am in the bathtub. I also like to swim and I like bread so it makes sense. Footnote: My mommy says I would be a dog because I chew on everything, fetch socks, and beg under the table while she is eating.

Q: What has been your biggest accomplishment?
A: Probably walking around the block all by myself. I was supervised, of course--mommy was walking next to me. But even though it took me about 45 minutes to walk about 0.2 miles, I made it. My favorite part of the walk was stopping to pick up every single pebble I saw on the ground. It was awesome.

That's all for now. Hope you enjoyed learning some more about me! Love, Abby

A Rizzi Christmas

On Christmas day, we hung out with the Rizzi's and Abby got to open even more presents. We even got the pleasure of hearing her say "ho ho ho" a few times.

Here is Abby opening her first Christmas present of the year...because Daddy and Grandpa couldn't wait any longer to play with it. Clearly her favorite part is the bell.

Party Time

We had a little family party for Abby's birthday on Sunday, October 29th. Abby was happy that she got to open more presents than the 4 she got on her actual birthday...I think she was feeling a little gipped. She enjoyed the party, although she was a bit shy around all the guests and kept burying her face in Nana's shoulder. She made out pretty good on gifts--she now has quite the wardrobe for fall and winter (much to mom's delight!), a few new books to enjoy (also a plus for mom, as the good old favorites were memorized months ago and mom needs some fresh material), and some highly entertaining toys. Anyone who wants to hokey pokey with Elmo can feel free to stop on by. Enjoy the photos....

Here's Abby in her party dress with her co-celebrants Great-Grandpa and Uncle Tim.

Cupcake time. Bottoms up!

Happy Birthday Abby!

We can't believe it, but Abby is 1 year old today! Here are some shots of her enjoying her presents from mom & dad and tearing into her oh-so-yummy dairy-free cupcake. She is looking forward to her party on Sunday when she can have another one!

Happy Birthday, Abby. We love you.
