fun at home

We're trying to come up with lots of ideas for playing indoors these days...I ran out of good ideas yesterday so this is what we got.

James shows off his favorite thing to do in Abby's room: empty the bookshelf. He is so proud!

Abby, of course, loves to dress up, and she is getting more creative these days. Here she is a "Christmas cheerleader."

Fun! I think my SIL is having the same problem. She put my 2-year-old nephew on the phone the other day and when I asked what he was doing he said "I'm eating play dough." :)

There must be something very gratifying about emptying bookshelves. Evan would do it all day if we had enough for him to empty. Maybe I'll try it next time I'm bored and see if it's really as fun as his obsession would suggest!!

Hopefully James enjoys putting the books back as much as the emptying. Although, that might come later. At 2, Maggie loves having everything in it's place and at the end of the day our routine of "puttaway" is one of her highlights. Just a little OCD!
